Course Description

This course provides an overview of the theory and principles of human growth and development from conception through age 8. Content includes an in-depth study of the interrelatedness of physical, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects of development. Development is studied in the context of family, gender, culture, language, ability, socioeconomics, diversity, and society.

Hybrid Session starts 6-18-2022 ends 8-13-2022. Face-to-face on campus meetings Fridays. Online asynchronous learning via Brightspace complements live meetings (https://learn.urbancollege.edu). Students will need their UCB email account to gain access starting on the first day of class.
